General Convention Questions

  • What is the SAIA Annual Convention & Exposition all about?
    • The SAIA Annual Convention & Exposition is the one of the largest gatherings of scaffold and access professionals. It features scaffold- and access-focused educational sessions and showcases the nation’s top scaffold and access exhibitors. If you are a first-time attendee, new member or haven’t attended a convention in awhile, now’s the time to come. Visit the “First Timer” section to read further details. Or, call us at 816.595.4860 – we would love to talk about the Annual Convention & Exposition with you!

  • What does my full registration fee cover?
    • The full registration fee covers all SAIA Annual Convention & Exposition educational sessions and materials, entrance to the exhibit hall, breakfasts, refreshment breaks, lunches, receptions and the President’s Gala. Day passes or individual event purchases cover only the day purchased or that event.

  • What is the cancellation policy?
    • All cancellations must be made in writing and can be mailed, faxed or emailed to the SAIA. Any cancellations received on or before June 16, 2018, will be honored, but will result in a $50 per person processing charge. There will be no refunds for cancellations received after June 17, 2018.

  • What should I wear to the meetings?
    • General attire for most functions is business casual, except for the President’s Gala which is cocktail attire. You might also want to pack a light jacket or sweater since hotel meeting rooms are notorious for being too cold! Finally, and probably the most important if you plan to do any walking, is bring comfortable shoes with support. You will regret not bringing those sensible shoes after walking long distances on hot concrete sidewalks!

  • How do I register?
    • Complete the online registration form here.

  • What is the weather like in Chicago?
    • July is the hottest month in Chicago, and two-thirds of daylight hours are sunny. The average temperature is a high of 84°F and a low of 68°F. Though rain on average is minimal, you may still want to throw one of those small umbrellas in your suitcase.
